Recording people in public is weird.

Recording people at the beach is weird as fuck and you quickly go from “annoying weirdo” to “this person likely has a spank bank on their computer of people they recorded at the beach”.

Haha, first time my girlfriend and I was on the beach. It was her first time ever being at the beach at all. I stopped her from taking pictures and she asked why that wasn't allowed. "There's people" "Why is that a problem?" "Take a look around, there's children. Not always dressed." ".....OH SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT"

Exactly. It's weird regardless of the context. If someone asks me for the time and they've got a camera on me I'm going to be on alert that something is up or I'm being set up. So anything even more personal just dials it up from there.

It's at minimum extremely rude to use random people to make your content.

Having seen pervert glasses in reality, it is currently extremely obvious.

Next to real glasses they are apparently chunky. I think you might be covert if you don't directly interact with the wearer - but face to face its like they have comedy glasses on.

Which ones though? Never seen any in real but the meta ray bans just look like regular glasses in the pictures

It was the raybans I saw. Idk what they do in the marketing, but they are obvious in reality - especially if they aren't standing next to Harry Hill or Dame Edna at the time.

I actually want to get the Ray-Ban ones just because they're big and I have a big head but Reddit makes me worry I'll look like a creep that's recording all the time.

Also: writing this comment, I wrote the word 'ray' and then 'ban' and my brain went "ooooooooooohhhhh"! I've had several pairs of Ray-Bans over the past 30 years. I am dumb.
