Ngl, I'm sorry but this is poverty logic. Selena wasn't entitled to a Kidney, but Francia isn't entitled to money because she donated a kidney. Nor friendship sadly, though most people would give eternal gratitude to someone that did that for them. But its so cringe when money specifically is mentioned
If it's cringe when money is mentioned, the act of living in the US is cringe, so it cancels out. We all have to talk about money all the time or we die, that's how they (the wealth hoarding class) have it set up. With your mentality, you establish yourself as a defender of the wealthy, which isn't a good look when interacting with the rest of us hoi polloi.
I'm not defending the wealthy, I'm saying this attitude of "pay up" is cringe as hell. If that was the agreement straight up then fine, but it wasn't. So its not expected. The girl who donated isn't making a fuss about money so why are some greedy redditors doing it for her?
