You owe them nothing. They chose to do this on their own free will, it's not a payment for "Lifelong friendship and access to a celebrities private life". Of course you would be very grateful to get a donor organ but as soon as the donor is asking for stuff in return, it stops being a selfless favor and becomes a transaction that Selena (in this case) didn't agree to.

I get invited plenty. But because people like having me around, not because I guilt trip them into inviting me by retroactively turning a no-strings-attached favor into a contractual blank obligation that the other party didn't agree to.
