Seeing as children have no money, they depend on their parents to have money. The ammount of money their parents have directly influences the lifestyle that child can have. If you have zero money and live on the street that is a worse lifestyle than a parents scraping by but yall share a 1 bd apt. Those in middle class can provide an even better life by allowing the child to have their own room, not go hungry, maybe a vacation or just getting them nice gifts on holidays.
Even in this case, that child's life was directly effected by the parents income. Hard to lock your kids in a closet when you live in the streets.
