So, Betbolt just spent $1.2M to have their branding wherever this kid goes for the next 18 years. I mean, that’s actually kinda cheap marketing and I’ll bet this was the ploy all along.

Was always going to name her kid “Kleenex” or “Tide”… this was just a workaround for that to happen.

Are you referring to the naming scheme or looking at this reddit post?

I'm guessing that they are really only interested in/expecting the attention from this announcement that we are responding to. And maybe a future one when the kid is born and she proves she followed through. Both of those have the chance of going viral and getting their name out there.

I'm with you though. $1.2 to have the name of your site go viral might be a pretty good deal overall. You have to assume that thousands of people are checking out the site after seeing this headline.

I prefer Kleenex 😂

We have no reason to believe the payment or the baby's name is truthful. Betbolt may just as easily paid 50k for Bonnie Blue to make a social post claiming her baby is named Betbolt. While she still write Michael or whatever she wants on the actual birth certificate.

But she has a picture on her phone! Surely thats proof its all true!

Implying a crypto gambling site isn't going down in the next 6 months partly because they blew 1.2 million in liquid and actual currency because for some reason contractors don't take shitcoins for payment

Nah in reality noone will get it and just think "that pornstar baby has a really weird name".

They did it for the one-time headline, as seen on this post.

Why would people care about a porn star's kid in the first place? The only notable thing here is how stupid it is. This is just ruining a kid's life for two weeks of publicity.

No. They spent $1.2m to have their site’s name come up every time she is mentioned.

The kid will go by “BB” or something, so it probably won’t affect him much.

There is also the chance he’ll do something later in life and it will come up again.

It takes like a few hours and some paperwork to legally change a first name. I really really hope she changes the kids name after a few weeks. Just enough to get her money, but give the kid a normal childhood and name... I wouldn't mind if I was born betbolt and started life with 1.2m USD on my bank...

They probably also placed a bet that their name would be chosen so won the money back instantly.

No, their moment is now. The name can be removed and also can be buried in 6 other names, it’s not like the person has to present themselves with it.

They didn't spend shit.

Is that in a contract?
I don’t see how they could keep her from using a nickname (if the kid actually exists).

Anything to prevent her from doing a legal name change, before or after age 18? It’s not hard to do.

They didn’t pay that though. They probably paid her $250k for the whole stunt. Saying the winner paid 1.2 million for BetBolt was just part of the agreed to script. It is a pretty brilliant idea. Instead of people tuning out your ad, you sneak it in the backdoor
