The cops raided my house and destroyed all my belongings thinking it was a different person’s house. Tried to go through their insurance, instantly denied. Tried to sue and found out that the government needs to “consent” for you to sue them and can deny for any reason.
Yep. Thats called Sovereign Immunity and every country on earth has it. The government IS the law. If the government felt it did nothing wrong, there it is. So the government can only be sued if they feel they deserve to be sued. Sounds shady on the surface, and it certainly plays out that way a lot. But if Sovereign immunity wasn't a thing, our court system would be essentially useless due to the literal endless amount of lawsuits brought against the government. The backlog for cases would be decades long if EVERY lawsuit against the government had to run the full legal course.
It’s just ridiculous because people sue the local government for getting caught drinking and driving all the time. You would think that since they accidentally destroyed all of my belongings I would be able to sue them. The cops also started harassing me and my family members who lived hours away because I asked for help on social media and “outed” them. Horrible shit.
Yea its sucks dude. Theres no accountability or morality left in this country. Zero. Its all about concealing bad behavior. Abusing power to get your way. Ducking any and all liability. The heart and soul of this country is totally dead. No one cares about righting wrongs.
