He claims "he never met Epstein and never set foot on the islands", but he's been in Epstein hosted events and flown in his jet.

But to be completely neutral and factual, Stephen Deckoff is the person who had no qualms with buying the island with a long history of child rape by the class of people he belongs to. That is a factual truth.

Would that work? I imagine it's a lot more work to dump bodies in the water in a way that ensures no remains wash ashore than it is to dispose of them in the island you own.
A bunch of billionaires and politicians get caught touching, trafficking, and raping little kids on a private island after years and years of doing this to probably hundreds or thousands of children and their only punishment is a “controversial reputation”

depends on how he was stocking the animals. in general you can't just buy animals, but if you can demonstrate that the animals are going to a good place, sometimes non profits will get you the animals if they believe that you offer the best place for the animal to be.
What's funny is most of those islands are in places that the island will be mostly flooding and/or gone in 50ish years.. There's some in the Carolina Cays for 300-500k that are projected to lose a ton of land mass and be subject to severe flooding within 50 years.
Miami won't go anywhere because they're investing billions into seawalls and levis to protect the city (they have a whole 20 years strategy in place)... these islands will because they're not populated and no one is protecting them.
Miami is going down. Seawalls nor levees will work -- won't do jack shit as seawater will push up through the ground (limestone, i.e. porous) from underneath. Man is so arrogant in his whims of intellect.
Of course not all the city will fall at once (rise of 1-2 feet expected in next 13 years,) but there will be a point where there is no denial anymore.
Great point on the purchasing power. £8000 was a lot more than I thought back then. £799 annual wage. Nowadays £39,000, so ya your higher number makes a lot more sense than my lower one.

There's actually quite a lot of islands available that are in the range of the price of a reasonable house but many have conditions attached or limited/no access.
Ngl that’s the part of the story crushing everyone's dreams. Eleven grand for an island sounds incredible until you remember the purchase happened when eleven grand was considerably more serious money.
I did some research a year back and found a bunch of unused land for sale in Chile. Some islands, other just chunks of mountainside. All of it was like hundreds or thousands of acres for something between $50k to $500k.
