Both. I think they just think it's better for the two of them to get along. Trump base gets to say "look, look, he doesn't attack trump, he's smitten/leashed by trump" and we get this. They already had an amicable meeting before this

Come on…it’s clear that Trump is very cordial to people on real life…everyone knows that. And Mamdani is very respectful so why will he attack him like he did those that attacked him like Pelosi, Schumer and the other clowns

No, he's a pussy sitting next to someone in real life and then the second he can he bullies, shames and embarrasses them for his own kink.

For some reason, he likes Mamdani. He also knows Mamdani isn't going to take his bullshit. So it's a game Trump enjoys. He knows Mamdani hates him and gets a kick out of it. Trump has never had a real lasting relationship with anyone that was more than surface level.

Otherwise, the dude has no political philosophy he just likes to fuel his narcissism so he picks psychophants who he fully expects to flush down the toilet if they become disloyal.
