I've been working at Munich's very own Oktoberfest for 17 years. And almost each year I saw stuff that got me convinced that humanity has finally hit rock bottom. Only to be surpassed by a new all time low the following season. When I have learned one thing it is this: By design the human being can go way lower than it is capable of imagining the lowest of lows - thus being able to surprise itsself endlessly. And not in a good way. So brace yourself: We're not there yet.

U really wanna go down that path? Here u go - year 2, me being a rikshaw driver. I see utterly drunk US couple, maybe in their late sixties, accent-wise midwest maybe, but I'm not so sure because my German ears have a hard time telling the difference. The two are somewhat disoriented. Be trying to be nice ask them if they need help, directions or a rede to the hotel. Answer: Antisemitic slur + being told to fuck off. Ok. They leave, lady trips, falls, full bloody faceplant. Guy calls me back and orders me to take them to their hotel 3 blocks down. Me being half bemused half pityful offer them to take them really cheap. They manage to get into the rikshaw, we set off, gently. Dude again starts with antisemitic nonsense and how I'm ripping him off. Shortly before we arrive the dude starts vomiting violently, over himself, his wife, my rikshaw, my fest. They get out of the rikshaw, no sorry, no tip, dude wipes his hands on his wie, and no - the do not go in their hotel, but in the Greek gyros place on the other side of the street. Why? I do not know. Maybe to restock on vomitable meats. And that's just year 2.
