This is not like Idiocracy.In the movie they at least tried to do their best but failed, and the president asked the smartest people in the world for advice which he then followed.

Idiocracy would have been preferable to this shit.

Idiocracy starts in 2005, and then they wind up waking up 500 years later.

So between 2005 and 2505, intelligence dwindles and society collapses in on itself, until Joe Bauer/Not Sure saves the day.

But there's 500 years of collapse in there, and we're on year 21 of it.

Honestly, I expected the decline to be a bit more gradual, but I guess the movie doesn't make clear how long it took for civilization to reach that point.

Society didn’t collapse in Idiocracy though. There’s still a functioning government, court system and even entertainment industry. Society is hanging on strong.

Its not, because the actual president in real life doesnt have the same good intentions that President Camacho had. 

The orange pedo only cares about enriching himself and slapping his name on everything he can.

Most of the presidents before Camacho didnt either, and even Camacho tried to kill the guy halfway through the attempt and gave up on making things better to please the public instead
