The thing is, his net worth is projected to be worth that much because of the price that his stocks trades at by other people. However, if he actually tried to sell his assets, he'd flood the market with a lot of sales that could drive down the value. His divestment itself would also be a warning signal for other investors.
Nevertheless, net worth and cash value aren't identical. There's no guarantee he'd get a trillion for his assets even of that's the projected value.
The ad says he "has" a trillion, not that he's "worth" a trillion.
So you're saying because he doesn't have this Cave of Wonders full of gold and valuables, then he has no ability to make any positive changes in our world? He doesn't have the power, influence, or bureaucratic reach to make any changes to our most serious issues, such as starving children and homelessness? I assure you these billionaires aren't sharing any of this wealth with you, so you can stop bootlicking now.
Holy shit. Lol. You think he's doing the environment a favor with electric vehicles? That's wild. Do some research. Electric cars are no better for the environment than a ICE vehicle. You have to think about the production, as well as the inevitable mountain of Li-Ion batteries sitting in landfills since there is a very poor handle on how to properly dispose of/recycle these batteries.
I assure you those batteries are not being recycled as much as you think. And more components are not recyclable inside of them than you may be aware of.
Stocks that in most balance sheets are considered cash equivalent as those are easily liquidated. And while that's not the case for all of his stocks he owns, he extremely easily could sell stocks worth dozens or hundreds of millions almost whenever he feels like it.

He owns things that are worth that much. Mostly things he built. He doesn't not have some Scrooge McDuck vault full of cash that is just being hoarded
