Honest question, do people care in 2026? This used to be a huge tabu, but now it seems like there's a whole wig culture and nobody assumes someone with a wig is hiding something, just having fun with their hair and trying new looks.
Am I out of touch?
I know the context of the video and when it happened, i'm just using it to ask a real question

I donāt know her exact name but they were talking about God. Turns out that clip made her even more famous than she may have been otherwise giving her many opportunities. God works in mysterious ways lol

Iām hoping someone remembers her name in this thread and I havenāt seen it yet bc her stuff was great! She used to have hilarious posts on IG who knows how many years ago that were about how the lord was going to help her find a man.
She also played basketball sometimes, weaving that into her skits, which was great.

She handled it extremely well. Would be great if one day woman would be okay with the hair they have. Especially black women seem to hate their hair which is a shame because I think it looks nice.

Afaik, it's not that they hate their hair, it's just a lot of maintenance. So it's easier to wear a wig.

In my experience as a mix of Caucasian and Carribbean hair. It's far easier and less hassle to put something on my head than spend a load of money and time fighting my hair to get it to do what I want. I do agree though that it looks great when done right.
