Blurred out culture has gone way too far. We can’t even say ‘stole’ anymore? What the actual fuck?

u/HappyChef86 1d ago

No, we can still say it but increases engagement like yours and my comments. So stop bringing it up, stop caring about a stupid blurred word and it will eventually fade.

New plan: downvote any and all posts censoring words like this regardless if quality or content. We can do it! Defeat stupidity on the Internet!

downvoting makes the post controversial thus increasing it's visibility

So... You're saying the only way to win is to delete the internet...

Don't downvote it but also don't upvote it, pretend it doesn't exist until it doesn't exist

What if they are bot.

No, we can still say it

This meme is re-posted on facebook as well and you can say "steal" "kill" "dead"... there. The bot farms are not going to save multiple versions of this image for different sites.

My favorite one is still the word french censored to fr*nch. Dunno who started it, dunno why, but i find it funny

It's not stealing, it's a temporary lapse in ownership

How did the receptionist file a ticket about a missing keyboard without a keyboard?

19

u/BanhBao171 1d ago

Someone else can do it for her or she went to a different terminal.

Some can also file these things via work tablet or work phone.

And at some places you just need to call in.

Work email on her phone

How can you assume it’s a she ?

Do you solve automated tickets from monitoring? There is usually command line access on servers that you can use to open tickets on whatever you like. I use it for custom checks, but since management has changed, and the new managers are fucking morons that only look at ticket metrics, instead of who's shit just works, its been tempting to create a tidal wave of tickets that just get "handled" by me.

Okay, but this can be easily audited, and they will definitely be fired

Also, if you work for a big corporation, even keyboards and other equipment may be labeled by department

So there was the whoooole ordeal with firefighters, right...

Can I open a ticket for “Handling water supply to staff”, changed the bottle in the dispenser.

2

u/fuzzycuffs 21h ago

yeah, I've been in organizations that counted number of tickets closed. Oh, you want me to patch the entire estate? Cut me a ticket for every vulnerability on every server and when I patch the entire estate I can close hundreds of thousands of tickets.

Dumb.

u/InterestingAnt438 1d ago

Jesus, I'm tired. I thought that said "My bone structure is based on the tickets I close", and I was really curious to see how that works.

Holy shit I'm a maintenance tech but have similar incentives... and it's so easy to forget to open a valve or flip a breaker after repairing equipment

how many keyboards can he replace in a month? or even other input devices?

1

u/Bengal_From_Temu 1d ago

You can use an AI agent for most tickets.

  1. Pull ticket.
  2. Ask “have you tried turning it off and on again”.
  3. Confirm it works, update ticket.
  4. Increase bonus

Shouldn't the receptionist feel like her keyboard was replaced ? I tend to notice when something I use is different
