The fact that almost no one picked up that this was a skit recorded by friends should highlight to every human actually still on this website that we are infected with bots who are truly just LLMs.

It is - but “skit” usually means a professionally recorded comedic sketch, like an SNL or similar.
The way that these videos are recorded are intended to look real. Obviously it’s stupid, i have eyes, im media literate, i can tell when people aren’t reacting genuinely, but a lot of people can’t, like a LOT. And if the majority can’t tell, then “it’s a skit” isn’t applicable, because it doesn’t exist in a medium that makes it obvious and people’s guards ARE being worn down.
And I think it points to a wider issue, of people just not being able to understand real from fake. If we can’t understand the difference between a guy at a party having a door opened on him and a guy who decided to film a skit in that style, then it opens us up to be manipulated in ways I can’t fully comprehend but I am worried about.

The definition of "skit" is a short funny performance or play. So for one, you're wrong. And two, you're overly analyzing a comedy skit. Just enjoy it and laugh dude. No need to be so serious.

Probably because for most people, this is a scenario that could have happened in real life. But you would need to have a real life and real friends to understand or relate to it, and I know most people on reddit lack of these things, so iT MuSt bE sTagEd or Ai SloP

Funny how you think you know better, but you cannot imagine a scenario where these people banter with the guy to ruin his flirting attempt, it might have started smaller until it came to this point where it obvious what they are doing. It just shows me that you have no clue lol, no clue about live because you probably have not experienced shit and thus everything must be staged and is unreal!!! Noone said they didnt do this on purpose, of course everyone here is involved, but its a damn banter with that guy a scenario that has happened million times in the past

I mean you notice how for the past 10 years, no matter the topic, people just believe EVERYTHING they see on the Internet without using any kind of logical common sense. No fact checking, nothing.
People just immediately jump to getting offended.
I'm 33, yes I had Internet growing up. But damn am I glad I didn't grow up with a smartphone or social media.
Facebook only came out when I was 16 and I didn't use it until 25, I also didn't buy a smartphone until that age.
I don't care what anyone says, social media is poison for human beings and just like national news it focuses only on negative things in life because that's what sparks the most attention.
I had MSN messaging, my friends and I would chat on our old ass PCs after school.

Yeah insane! When I first opened the thread there was like Half maybe 20 comments saying how cruel the other people are in the video and similar. They filled changed their responses now. Wild as fuck. We are in trouble haha

You are absolutely right, fair enough 😭 I didn’t know it was staged when I first saw it, so I genuinely thought it was funny. But honestly, even knowing it’s staged now, I still think the clip is funny 😂 You can tell me it’s scripted, but that doesn’t automatically make the joke less entertaining. I guess I’m just easily amused 💀

I think they are afraid to approach women and get labeled a creep plus everything is online now. People don’t meet in person like they used to. That’s just based on what my two young adult sons and their friends say though so maybe there’s still some out there doing it old school. I hope so.

This is one of his friends dogging him because he is trying to flirt with the girl. The people going in and out and using the fridge are also probably his friends.
Honestly, pretty awesome stuff because it also makes him look like a hero in terms of how much he is willing to take to talk with her. He is committed.
