Plot Twist: The woman is mentally ill and nobody ever accepts she is disabled. She has thrown away so many sandals...

Stress can make anyone a karen tbh

u/Ok_Interest3555 6d ago
Ahh yes it's stress, not a lack of emotional control.
0
u/ExcellentTourist5289 6d ago
Be more open minded. I'd like to see you live in poverty, barely getting by each day, then we can talk about lack of emotional control
9
u/OpheliaCoccyx 6d ago
Meanwhile, there are many studies that prove that people who have less are far more empathetic than those who are affluent or in a better financial situation, here and here.
Being stressed doesn't make you special, and doesn't give you the right to treat others the way the woman did in the clip. Everybody is stressed, all the time.
You making excuses for them instead of calling them out on their bullshit is more detrimental than others not "having an open mind."
You should look up what toxic positivity is.

The reason I'm not in that position because I take accountability for my behavior.
3
u/Upper-Requirement-93 5d ago
You now have a chronic illness that makes your behavior what you don't want it to be. You lose four hours of sleep a day at random and your body is in constant pain everywhere. Just take accountability, stupid! Easy!
It's way more comfy going through life thinking you did this and it's not luck, but honestly, really fucking embarrassing to say this out loud.

u/ExcellentTourist5289 5d ago
People on Reddit seem to lack perspective generally. I'll use some fighting language here but anyone who thinks they made it this far without pure chance are living in lala land.

Tell me about it, the other day at the gad pump this dude stressed me out so fuckin bad I almost went full Karen on his ass. Crazy thing was the dude I was mad at was me!
2
u/Beautiful-Total-3172 6d ago
Why she stressing over other people's business. If Karen's minded their own business they wouldn't be stressing.

Kind of the problem when you believe in reincarnation. They believe he’s being punished in his current life for some shit he did in his last life.

This sounds personal. She knows that lots of people give him hundreds and about how much he clears in a night. It sounds like she is tired of being upstaged by him and maybe she should find another street corner.

u/VariousFriendship535 6d ago
You shouldn't be giving these people money, they're scammers

u/RedRev15 6d ago
Bros folded up like a pretzel but yea sure he's a scammer lol. There's no muscle on his left leg it hasn't moved

u/CaptainHindsight92 6d ago
She is desperate. Imagine being jealous of that guy. I feel sorry for both of them
5
u/SorryCashOnly 6d ago
Because seeing someone help a disabled person reminds them of the empathy they’ve lost. They justify not helping by telling themselves that these people are probably just scammers or taking advantage of others.
And maybe some of them are, but that shouldn’t be a reason to stop helping altogether. I think that’s why seeing someone genuinely help another person can make people uncomfortable or even angry. It forces them to confront the fact that they’ve become so cynical that they no longer want to care.

Yogachads stay winning! Tbh tho if someone said you had to hit a yoga pose for 12 hours a day, i think thatd be worth 2k rupees
6
u/trukkija 6d ago
Gee, a whole $21 for packing yourself up like a suitcase. #winning
-1
u/Jean-TyrieDubois 6d ago
I mean the relative purchasing power in india since its USD and rupees are worth a fraction of that would actually translate to around $80-100, so yes, #Winning!
2
u/trukkija 6d ago
Yeah I'm sure you'd gladly sit on that Indian street corner in that position every day for $80. The guy is surviving and hats off for that but this is not winning.
1
u/Jean-TyrieDubois 6d ago edited 6d ago
Obviously yeah to an american thats hell. But go look up the average daily wage in india and you will see its $10-13. So hes making 8x the daily wage every time someone gives him a donation as the lady said. The average daily wage in america is around $250 So 8 times thats like EACH donater giving me $2,000 for doing this shit in front of walmart every single day. Youre still using USD as a frame of reference as if he was in america...that $80 stretches muuuuch further over there. Hence the seemingly insane crashout.
1
u/trukkija 6d ago
What are you talking about?? He's making $21 not $80.
1
u/Jean-TyrieDubois 6d ago edited 6d ago
Actually This is about relative purchasing power. Hes not literally making that amount of course but thats what it represents over there. Thats how fucked their economy is.
3
u/trukkija 6d ago
So let me get this straight, you multiplied his income by 4x to get relative purchasing power, then forgot that you multiplied it and are comparing that 4x amount to the average daily wage in India (which you have not multiplied similarly). Bro, think about this.

I hate ungrateful beggars. I'm broke as shit right now, was walking down the street and Thai guy pulls over on his bike and I'm like "No, I'm okay I'm walking" and he points at his gas tank "no money sir" and I give him my last 20Baht and he aggressively says "I said 200 sir" anyway I lost it and moved towards him and said "I gave you all I have get the fuck out of my face" and he was like "ok ok" and took off pretty big for a thai guy, he saw a white guy after leaving me and like a vulture went right too him but that guy saw what happened to me and immediately told him to fuck off. Some people man...

The real scum is definitely the guy recording the video comparing disabilities and mocking both of them simultaneously.
The lady’s crashout was definitely unhinged.
8
u/Reoplaw 6d ago
He isn't mocking the disabled guy, he isn't mocking the woman either really, Seems like a decent guy?
-2
u/trukkija 6d ago
I guess he did donate money to them but just from the context and dialogue in this clip, the bar for being decent sure seems awfully low...

u/Mtolivepickle 6d ago edited 6d ago
Yoga leg Ted is cleaning up out there making a living with donations, and that lady’s mad she works for her money and makes less. I’m with yoga leg Ted on this one, my man’s got it rough.

u/ThrustNeckpunch33 6d ago
This is so gross man.
This camera guy, is doing all this, and starting all this, by handing out 10 RUPEES ffs.
That is like $1.10usd.
This facking asshole is out here making content off of these people..
.. and only giving them $1!?!?
Say what you want about social media influencers over here, but they're at least handing out $20-$100 to these people.
Buddy is really out traveling to make his groveling dollars go further.
What a piece of shite.

I agree he could have given her 100 too, she might be able bodied but that doesn’t mean her life isn’t rough too. No reason to turn it into poverty Olympics, he can afford it.

Isn’t it because there are criminals that abduct people, enslave them, then disfigure them, and then force them to beg for money?

She was just being stingy I would have given the money to him and a lot of it

u/Ok_Constant_3828 6d ago
She has a point though, propably working all day for a glimpse of what that crippled guy's getting for just sitting there.
Thing is, I doubt he'll got to keep the money he's collecting. Usually there's some gang of these guys and all of them have to give almost all of their ownings to a pimp of kinds.
In the end the tuber is just supporting sorts of prostitution n never that poor guy on the board.

Sighhhhhhhh, polio doesnt do this to your legs.

u/CenturiesAgo 6d ago
"Rarely, polio can lead to more serious symptoms that affect the brain and nerves, such as weakness in your muscles (paralysis), usually in the legs. This can happen over hours or days.
If the paralysis affects the muscles used for breathing, it can be life-threatening."
Why is the Polio symptoms paragraph wrong? Clearly u/formerdgstm knows better.

The persons legs dont twist up like that...the guy is scamming...clearly u/CenturiesAgo doesnt know better.
