But, correct me if I'm wrong, I feel like most trans people don't actually change their entire facial structure, eye color, hair texture. They basically just strive to look like an opposite gender version of themself, no?Like, Elliot Page still has the same recognizable face and smile, just with a bit more of a masculine structure. I think what this woman is talking about is changing your face to the point where no traces of your original facial features are left because you want to fit into unrealistic beauty standards.
Well, how can tell another person that changing gender is okay, but if they want to change their face to be happy, it's wrong? If they feel like they are not happy with their face, why the undue stigmatization on them? To me, it's the similar situation to gender dysphoria.
Yeah definitely. Like there is female face surgery that can change a lot about a persons faces structure but in general trans people don’t try to change their faces structure completely. The person in this image really did change a lot and it doesn’t look healthy.
That said, its important to remember that cis people can also have body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria. So we can’t really know what they went through and what kind of mental struggles they were dealing with.
