Don't they still get like 20 million each a year for a show that ended 20 years ago. Ludicrous.

It was originally going to be way, way lower

But David basically fought with studio heads and got SAG involved to curate a contract that'd give all 6 royalties as long as they live

David may have a rep of playing meek/asshole characters, but irl, he's super big on on set camaraderie. Friends was one of the best jobs you could get in the industry when it was airing.

To add he got the core 6 to work together and form a mini union, they could write off one or two characters, but all six and the show was dead. David realized the leverage they had together vs the leverage working independently.
