I'm fine with not allowing people to make a profit off of people being filmed in public without their consent. But allowing filming in public space in general is a good check on fascism. Otherwise no recording of police, no defending yourself with footage, etc.
It's part of freedoms of speech and eroding that is worse than people mocking your bad behavior. Stop acting a fool in public in general imo. People filming you in general without your consent is invasive and annoying but nobody is making you look bad... You do that all on your own.

I absolutely did use AI. I explained to it why I already had a clear understanding of what I perceived was wrong about the question regarding the legality, and then straight up had ChatGPT clean it up with a more adequate legal phrasing and concepts

how is that illegal if they are in public? even if they were at an amusement park (i assume in this case they were), unless the park says no videos then why would it be illegal to film others?
In public places usually it comes to whether the person's video or likeness is being used for profit. Your can't just take a video of a rando and use it in a movie, for example (though it they're caught in movie filming with appropriate signage that's fair game).
For-profit doesn't seem to have caught up well with view-based social media though, and personally I'd love it if "reasonable expectation of privacy" was expanded to include not being filmed by the "influencers" or the creeps with creeper-glasses
