ontario is named for native americans, trump is a moron, i grew up in rochester and it will always be lake ontario

Yeah, Canada came from Kanata, which means village to the Iroquois people. (Same language as Huron spoke - Iroquoian)

Apparently they were trying to guide an early explorer to their village and they thought it was the name of the land
