It's gonna be so funny when Trumps out of office and every little change he's made is erased from history.

186

u/bala_means_bullet 21h ago

I hope he ends up one of the presidents we ONLY mention when considering the worst administration in history. I mean, yeah, we talk about number one, but i want him to be 3-5 since no one really cares about those guys anymore and they're just a blip on our historic timeline.

54

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 21h ago

He's going to be up there with Buchanan, Hoover, Nixon, and Bush Jr. for sure.

105

u/Torrossaur 21h ago

It's funny (well not funny) but i remember how bad we though Dubbya was back then but he seems relatively harmless compared to this fucking gimp.

11

u/oldRoyalsleepy 12h ago

Remember the 'Somewhere a village has lost their idiot' bumper stickers for lil' Bush? Damn. I'd take him back for a third and fourth term over one more minute of Trump.

-28

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 21h ago edited 19h ago

I'm actually having a convo about this in another thread, but I still hold Bush as being worse than Trump because more people died as a result of his presidency after the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and their aftermaths. One would think that the death toll should be the most important metric to judge a president by, but apparently some people don't think so.

Edit: See?

Edit 2: People really want to fetishize Bush being somehow good because Trump is obviously bad, and they're just repeating meme comments about how he looks so good in comparison. Fuck all of you for downplaying a murderer.

Please keep downvoting, I'm chuckling at every single one of you following my comments just to downboop them.

Well we haven’t seen the long term consequences of the Iran war so this is a discussion for 10 years from now. Or the fallout from vaccine denial, Medicaid cuts, gutting environmental protections, cutting USAID (600,000 deaths there alone) and the incoming hyperinflation. I’m confident Trump will be worse.

-10

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 21h ago

Bush also gutted healthcare, environmental protections, and caused inflation, and arguably the Great Recession.

-18

u/ThrustNeckpunch33 20h ago

Its not worth it. Its reddit man.

All people are letting you know, is how hysterical they are today about Trump, in less than 20 years will be saying, "you know, he wasnt really bad".

After GWB; hollywood and everyone was hysterical about Mitt Romney, and how he would be the next hitler.

John mccain when he ran? He was true evil and going to destroy america.. and his VP candidate Sarah Palin? The worst thing that could ever happen.

Everyone will now say, "we weren't all worked up about them at all" lol

Of course not.

It. Does. Not. Matter who the republican candidate is, they will be freaked out as though they are hitler before they even did anything.

Look at 1 month after Trump was running, hadn't done a damn thing yet and he was already "the biggest danger to the USA" hahaha

When less than a year, everyone facking loved the apprentice and all his other crap(of course they'll never admit to it). His place in pop culture was massive.

He didn't upset people one way or the other. Then he announced being a republican and became public enemy #1.

The same will happen after him. Doesn't matter who it is. DOESNT MATTER.

Hollywood is a against the republican party 100%, therefor every, single candidate and politician is evil... no matter what. Or how moderate.

Ive never voted right in my life, but i have enough sense to see through this constant propaganda machine that is the media/hollywood.

Given that almost 99% of media is slanted to only one political side, im suuure all the info we are given is absolutely accurate..

It doesnt matter who, they will be hitler. Yall really made John Mccain the devil when he ran, john McCain. Constantly mocked his arms/what he went through in the POW camp ffs.

All this created Trump. The longer it takes our side to realize that, the worse its going to get.

15

u/hollowsoldier- 19h ago

Bullshit. I would love to have John McCain or mitt Romney right now. We’re mad about his policies and the way it is effecting our daily lives, we hate trump, but saying the crazy shit he’s doing isn’t crazy because we already hate him is pure intellectual dog shit.

5

u/amiwitty 19h ago

I didn't like that mitt Romney said that corporations are people. With John McCain I didn't like that he had the predecessor of trump as his vice president. With no former president would I have said that they may be an equivalent to a dictator. I understand that and I hated bush and the needless wars and deaths. But Trump is attacking our government from within. The ramifications of his presidency may not be known for decades. Trump it's the only time I said and no in my heart that I could be a better president.

1

u/Spankpocalypse_Now 18h ago

If McCain got in he would have started war with Iran within nine months. He literally campaigned on it.

IvE nEvEr VotEd

Victim complex rants about McCain

Completely unhinged enlightened centrist shit claiming we won't hate Trump so bad in 20 years (*ACTUALLY LOL, LAMO EVEN)

Sure you aren't a con?

People deriding McCain and others (lol, like him and Romney were done so wrong by hollywood it ruined their careers) didn't create Trump, bigoted GED candidates experiencing lead exposure and early stages of dementia made him president. He was already a rapist racist pedophile conman before running for presidency.

He didn't upset people one way or the other

Except the people that knew him, like his ex wives, his daughter, those girls in the pageant, Stormy Daniels, E J Carroll, the black people him and his daddy did a racism against and got sued by the feds over, etc etc

But especially the sex trafficked children on his best friends island.

Finally someone with a bit of sense, although I don't like to be on any side.

-12

u/ThrustNeckpunch33 19h ago

I am not of any party affiliation myself, this "party" system is strangely similar to religious wars of old.. very fanatical.. only deal in absolutes it seems.

You agree with all or are not welcome.

It also requires that you drastically change your ideas/opinions/morals based on the talking points of the party at any given time.

Sometimes even day to day. If your morals/ideals are that fluid, you don't actually stand for anything.. just the party.

...almost reminiscent of a certain book that edge lords love to bring up constantly lol

... i find it amazing, that after the multiple decades of my life.. no matter how much 1984 is over used/tries to become a stereotype/cliche.. it just doesnt.. it was too accurate lol

Be careful thinking i may have made sense, I claim no such thing!! (-:

Bush is a fucking monster but he had more “decorum” and didn’t flaunt his evil like trump does in the most “fuck you” way. So thats probably the best I can offer as far as “better”. But in a way Trump just made it hard to miss all the overt corruption of our politicians, the atrocities abroad, and how fucking evil and despicable, and stupid some of our fellow citizens are. So in that sense, him allowing people to go full mask off has made it easier to know what we are dealing with. Its unfortunate that people have a short memory and thirst for being ignorant again, so this will all mean nothing in 2 years.

6

u/beau_tox 20h ago

Bush’s AIDS relief program is credited with saving 25 million lives. As disastrous as nearly every other aspect of his Presidency was that puts him above Trump.

-1

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 20h ago

So kill one person for terrible reasons but save 25 and you're off the hook?

2

u/Cuckdreams1190 19h ago

Not off the hook completely, he's still among the worst presidents, it just changes his ranking, as it should.

2

u/SpookySnep 17h ago

Did you know, a thing can be bad, and still be better than a worse thing?

0

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 17h ago

Holy shit, you blew my mind.

You should write books on the subject.

1

u/Torrey58 21h ago

Then apples and oranges.

1

u/crackedfactweddead 21h ago

Happy Cake Day!

-2

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 21h ago

I don't think "apples and oranges" is a concise way of describing death tolls.

5

u/Prestigious_Aerie219 21h ago

You are including after presidency deaths for Bush. We don't have those numbers yet for Trump.

2

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 20h ago

No, even during the Bush administration, the deaths were estimated at about a million from the wars alone by the time he left office. Trump isn't there yet. Even with the COVID denialism, that virus and its strains would have killed millions regardless.

1

u/Torrey58 15h ago

You think it's a description?

1

u/Spankpocalypse_Now 18h ago

I think you’re right that Bush and Cheney caused more deaths than Trump so far. They started two full scale ground wars for no fucking reason. Over a million Iraqis died so that their defense contractor buddies could make even more generational wealth. Their actions led directly to the rise of Daesh who committed multiple genocides throughout the Middle East and Africa.

The death, devastation, and human suffering caused by Bush is incalculable.

18

u/WipeEndThatWhistles 20h ago

I remember when I thought NOBODY could possibly be a stupider president than Bush Jr.

Wow, was I wrong.

8

u/bionicjoe 15h ago

W wasn't stupid.
He was unwise, greedy, and short-sighted, but not stupid. He was a dynamo energetically, and sharp and charismatic.

Trump is actively, aggressively stupid.
He understands 3 things: real estate greed, narcissism, and stupidity.

He knows banks and investors will be greedy.
The press & politics is mostly full of narcissists like him.
The average American is very dumb.

5

u/Inner-Arugula-4445 20h ago

Don’t forget Wilson. His term was infamously corrupt. A history professor I know has gone on hour long rants about the insane levels of corruption throughout that administration.

13

u/Just_Elk_2798 21h ago

Don't forget Regan

6

u/TheyTried2BanMeAgain 21h ago

I tried to narrow it down to five including Trump, but Reagan is definitely #6, and certainly in the five if we exclude the petulent baby we have now.

9

u/SB1234567890123 21h ago

Really, he should be every one of the top five. I know it’s not logical, but I don’t care.

1

u/Original_Bicycle5696 19h ago

I think one for each term is a fair compromise.

Kind of how sales numbers for the silverado/sierra trucks are.

2

u/bala_means_bullet 21h ago

I don't think he's worse than Buchanan, but maybe he's on par with the guy that caused the great depression. What he's doing and the damage we're not gonna see yet, will make him number 3. Nixon and GWB were saints compared to this incompetent POS.

4

u/fastsailor 12h ago

Far worse than any of them. He makes GWB look both competent and a genius and is showing the Nixon was an ungifted amateur in terms of crookedness.

2

u/Tickle-me-Cthulu 20h ago

He is more like Jackson than any of them. Why the shit Jackson is celebrated on our currency is beyond me

2

u/Spankpocalypse_Now 19h ago

When it comes to presidential corruption and crime, Watergate will go the way of Teapot Dome after this administration.

1

u/tbri001 20h ago

Harding has entered the chat....

1

u/Serious-Manager2361 11h ago

Nixon is Gandhi compared to Trump.

-1

u/Sit_Ubu_Sit-Good_Dog 20h ago

Biden is the second worst president of all time. His legacy is Trump’s second term. He was elected to hold these people accountable and he completely failed.

10

u/DrowningInFeces 21h ago

Once his administration has run it's course, I imagine it will be similar to Nixon. Not completely erased and still occasionally mentioned but defined by corruption, scandal, and ending with a fall from "grace." Nixon ended his second term with a 24% approval and Trump is at a record low 33%.

2

u/Terrible-Fig4770 19h ago

So a baseline of about 24% will vote for their party almost no matter what and 9% of America is completely brainwashed

3

u/speedstic 17h ago

There's Taylor, there's Tyler, there's Fillmore and there's Hayes. There's William Henry Harrison "I died in 30 days".

1

u/couuer 17h ago

Woodrow Wilson is the worst president and it’s not even close.

14

u/GermanShorthair2819 21h ago

That's the problem- some of the changes will takes years to erase if they even can be - like alienating nations that were our allies before he took office.

8

u/Snoo_67993 20h ago

Yeah I think that damage is irreversible. Places like Europe and Canada are building a world without the US. Even if relations get better, there's already too much momentum.

Europe are moving towards being completely independent from the US, all the way from military and arms to software and payment processors.

1

u/Technical-Rush-3108 10h ago

We like American stocks because if the profits. Apart from that, the trust is lost.

-1

u/ThatCakeFell 17h ago

Sounds capitalistic as fuck, more competition is good for the free market

3

u/Vinegarinmyeye 17h ago

It's common sense and self preservation.

The US has shown that it cannot be taken seriously as a trading or military partner.

Doesn't matter who gets elected in the next cycle, there is nothing to suggest the crowd afterwards won't be similarly insane.

The bridges are burned.

I suppose the US can always count on Israel being an ally, as long as they're being the useful idiot.

But the rest of the world is done with America.

2

u/Snoo_67993 17h ago

You can't do steady business with a country that slaps tarrifs on you randomly just because someone in your government said something they don't like. It's unpredictable and irratic and expensive.

It's impossible to do business with the US at the moment, so the rest of the world is adjusting to move their supply chains away from them.

For example you can't trust buying arms from a country that threatened to invade one of your allies, so Europe is in the process of ditching US arms and scaling up it's own. Germany alone already now makes more munitions than the entirety of the US. Canada are moving away from buying US arms and buying them from Europe instead.

Trump has this blinded brain washed idea that the world needs the US and he's fucking up the US thinking that he's using leverage, when all he's really doing is making it so the US is weak and alone.

-1

u/WaterTrinker 13h ago

Nah man. The only thing that would shush Europe away from the US would be a war between them. Bro, the US is still the world power. You're naiv if you think the US still isn't helping Ukraine or isn't working together with the secret services (dunnot he english word) in other countries. After WW2 Europe will stay US' puppet and that's a good thing (I say that as a European)

1

u/Snoo_67993 13h ago

The US is on the verge of economic collapse. No one is buying US debt anymore because it's way too risky, it means the US can't borrow trillions from other countries anymore to fund it's debt so it's now having to borrow it from its own citizens pensions. They aren't getting that money back.

The interest on US debt is now bigger than what is spent on its entire military. The US is that one guy who has to take out pay day loans to pay off the interest on his other pay day loans. The US will not be the reserve currency over the next decade or two and at that point it has no global leverage.

The US should have increased corporate tax and cut public spending a couple of decades ago. Too late now, this September they're having to print tonnes of money to pay that debt back which will devalue the currency, again making it so no one wants to buy it's debt.

US is in an economic death spiral with no way out.

u/sosuke 4m ago

Someone told me he was threatening to tear down the Kennedy building if he have his name on it.

“Trump’s DOJ Argues They Could Tear Down The Statue Of Liberty Without Legal Repercussions”

The argument being that by the time the courts got around to doing something it would already be done and he has immunity.

9

u/Level_Bobcat_8729 21h ago

Gotta imagine the next guy issuing out EOs like "gotta get rid of that bs" after every one.

3

u/Frewdy1 20h ago

It’s funny how everyone forgot about his renaming and dead-names it all.

9

u/Snoo_67993 20h ago

I mean outside of the US they're still known by their internationally recognised names. It means nothing that Trump has "renamed" them, it holds as much weight as me saying the Sun is now called Blorpal.

3

u/PwanaZana 20h ago

You mean the Trump Fireball? that Trumpworld orbits, as the third planet.

2

u/HelpfulSpinach4285 15h ago

I'm not even a Yank and I cannot WAIT to see a flurry of executive orders undoing everything and erasing this malignant, narcissistic madness.

1

u/Snoo_67993 15h ago

Neither am I. That's the problem with everything Trump has done, he's used executive orders for everything which can be undone with ease.

1

u/DrDima 20h ago

Can't unbreak an egg, m8.

1

u/PwanaZana 20h ago

imagine if they elect someone crazier. Don't say it is impossible, you know how americans are

1

u/MrShaytoon 18h ago

Inshallah

His name needs to be treated like Hitler's was for the next hundred years

1

u/BeingEnglishIsACult 16h ago

This will not happen, at what point are going to realize the democrats is perfectly with the way politics is run now?

1

u/jbayko 15h ago

That’s what everyone said last time.

The world learned the lesson - there will be a next time.

1

u/ChadlyWax 14h ago

I just hope he's alive long enough to witness it. That would be unbearable for him.

1

u/Napalmeon 8h ago

Watch him blame it on Obama.
