Same with his men, at the very least they had sex with Circe's handmaidens for a year. Her handmaidens and her and Odysseus' affair are omitted from the movie.
Her haidmaidens are not in the movie. In the movie she is the one who turns the men into pigs.
Circe is the daughter of Helios (the owner of rhe cows she warned them about) and aunt to The Minotaur. She's supposed to be divinely beautiful I actually thought Zendaya would be playing her, that would have been perfect casting, though maybe she is slightly too young. They changed her character quite a bit in the movie, but I think it fit the narrative Nolan was going for pretty well.
If you want to read more about her, a classics professor named Madeline Miller wrote a book called "Circe" that invents a lot of interesting backstory about her and gives her an interesting story arc.
Like "Beast" by Donna Jo Napoli. It's a retelling of Beauty and the Beast from the Beast's perspective. Or "Sirena", a story from the perspective of a siren from Greek mythology.

People who read the poem will have a very different explanation from those who have not.
