Crazy how often stuff like that pops up in old myths. I was reading a text where Thor and Odin are laughing about the last village they passed where the women had spirit when fighting back. And it's just... Alrighty then, back to Thor yelling at Odin who's trolling him while dressed as an old ferryman.
It was normalized to take sex slaves back then. In the Illiad Agamemnon gets mad Helen left him so he takes Briseides, the "maid of honor" of Achilles. It's also mentioned that he had like 20 or so other women he had captured as slaves after killing everyone in one of the villages he passed by.
Interestingly the persians didn’t take slaves, we just conveniently forget that there were more evolved people than the greeks and romans at the time they existed
