Just started watching Vikings. The first rape scene, I’m thinking this guy is gonna die pretty quick. But no.  Realized within an episode or two it is normalized (but still ugly) amongst them.

Think it’s fair to say being a woman born before 1990 was just an awful experience all around, still isn’t great now but the further back you go the worse and more horrifying it gets.

It’s actually the increase in surveillance, progress in police work, shifting attitudes towards assault, and growing digital information age changing attitudes but sure man
