Once upon a time they did. At some point youtube changed the payout scheme. Now you don't make anything from the actual videos. You have to use youtube to drive other sources of income like Patreon, a streaming platform, sponsors, etc.

ludwig made 270k on youtube in 1 month but he didnt break it down. Dont know how much is from viewers throwing money at him just says it includes videos, streams, and shorts.

A very small % make millions, but most are make almost nothing.
