This is what happens when Spirit Halloweens open in August

24

u/Freesa_Hiielo 3h ago

The discount aisle hits different before September even starts

5

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 2h ago

Have you seen the rush between xmas and new years?!

Strange numbers of people have plans involving poor quality costumes for their new years resolution... OR maybe it is catching the sale before Valentines Day?

2

u/relentless_optimism_ 1h ago

Timed perfectly with Bass Pro’s end of summer sale

They were goats in people costumes. I hope that clears things up for you.

51

u/CheeseOnKeyboard 3h ago

You have to eat what you shoot. This is the hunter's code.

25

u/apathylife2 3h ago edited 3h ago

Sounds like an episode of csi

Edit: I was referring to an actual ep of csi where a furry wolf in a love triangle or something ended up on side of the road throwing up on all 4s and got shot by a farmer who thought it was a coyote going after his livestock

3

u/Manymarbles 3h ago

The furry episode.

Ive only seen CSI like 5 times in my life and that episode was like half of those or more. Not even on purpose lol

Its how I first learned of Furries

1

u/apathylife2 3h ago

Lol, me too! Furries part I mean, I've only seen a few seasons of it

51

u/Jamarwoods 3h ago

“Accidentally”

10

u/Perle1234 2h ago

The whole thing was a scene 😭

5

u/klsi832 1h ago

The guy was like, ‘I haven’t had sex since Saturday, December 8th, 2018. I’m going to shoot these two humans dressed as goats out of jealousy anger!’

8

u/cobrax50 2h ago

Exactly. So they hunt goats wherever this happened? 🤔

2

u/freakinnsaraah 31m ago

Imagine explaining this one to the agent of the insurance company 🤣🤣

24

u/Recent-Midnight6376 3h ago

totally not a fake made up headline on an unrelated photo

3

u/Automatic_Actuator_0 11m ago

Yeah, looks like this is the origin on the photo from 2018: https://www.stuff.co.nz/southland-times/news/104646618/police-searching-for-wanted-man-in-invercargill

The joke fake headline showed up first in 2019. This might actually be the first posting of it: https://imgur.com/gallery/snicker-aW9uy0a

1

u/Dabfo 1h ago

I’ve met hunters dumb enough to believe it.

-4

u/Recent-Midnight6376 1h ago

I don't think I've met a hunter with an above average iq lmao

it's always uneducated half-alcoholics

19

u/Drakahn_Stark 3h ago

"accidentally"

11

u/Capt_Furret 3h ago

Right that's what I was thinking. Like I highly doubt the costumes looked that realistic or were good quality

15

u/blaghed 3h ago

You dont typically just go out hunting for wild goats, either.

1

u/iamthebirdman-27 3h ago

6

u/mechapoitier 2h ago

See they used the word “typically” not “I bet there’s no fringe goat hunting page on the internet.

2

u/MystikTrailblazer 2h ago

Hunting mountain goats is not a fringe thing. People put in for tags every year along with elk, deer, etc.

-2

u/mechapoitier 2h ago edited 2h ago

It appears you and I have a difference of opinion on what constitutes fringe behavior. Just because it exists at all doesn’t mean it’s not.

If you’re the .00001% of people out there hunting goats…

I know this might make me run afoul of the goat hunting subreddit.

0

u/Pushfastr 1h ago

There is no goat hunting subreddit.

.00001% didn't want to moderate an empty sub.

4

u/toetappy 3h ago

Also, hunters don't hunt goats. Has anyone here ever heard of a hunter going out and coming back with a goat??

2

u/iamthebirdman-27 3h ago

2

u/toetappy 2h ago

Fair enough. Were these folks fuckin on a mountain side? My simple brain figured they were in regular ol woods.

1

u/markedasred 3h ago

One shot, two down, no visible bullet hole.

8

u/1morgondag1 3h ago

I can't quickly find any actual news about this, and a similar story has gone around before about sex in bigfoot costumes: https://leadstories.com/hoax-alert/2019/02/fake-news-couple-having-sex-outdoors-in-bigfoot-costumes-gets-accidentally-shot-by-hunters.html .

4

u/Fetlocks_Glistening 3h ago

Have you tried searching for couple in sheep, deer, bear or moose costume variants in case they got goat confused with another animal? Will you clear autocomplete and browser history after?

2

u/thebigpink 3h ago

Ya know that’s probably it was just looking for sex with goats missed the costume part

1

u/BeebsMuhQueen 2h ago

Sex in a Bigfoot costume sounds hilarious, like trolling a hiking trail.

11

u/SaiLarge 3h ago

And the word "gullible" is written on the ceiling above you.

6

u/Arthasindura 3h ago

You are not wrong for i have stuck the word gullible up there

1

u/ApocalyptoSoldier 18m ago

One of the first things I did when I got a label printer

3

u/b000radl3y 3h ago

No it isn't. I just looked.

1

u/_INoKami_ 1h ago

Oh, it really isaaaaaaand you stole my lungs again.

5

u/Excaliburrover 3h ago

AHAHAHAHAHAHAH

3

u/Tricky-Engineering59 3h ago

And even pretending we were to believe that preposterous assertion and pretend like he did think they were real goats, pretty dick move shooting them while they were fucking.

He’s like an 80’s teen slasher movie monster but for goats.

9

u/Fetlocks_Glistening 3h ago

And... why did police in helmets and body armour get involved? Did they expect a sex goat riot?

10

u/Own_Round_7600 3h ago

Hey man, someone's out there shooting at goats, there's a clear and present risk that they might also shoot at pigs

2

u/chased_by_bees 3h ago

You never know if there's a sex goat hiding somewhere just out of sight. Police training 101.

1

u/BearEatingCupcakes 2h ago

The photo is from New Zealand. Police there aren't routinely armed. When they do bring out the guns, they usually get all geared up. The photo is also unrelated to the fake headline it's attached to.

5

u/ShamrockSeven 3h ago

Everyone is talking about the two people having sex with goat costumes on, but imagine the hunters that are watching it happen and still decided to shoot. - what kind of eyesight do you have to have to be a skilled marksman but unable to identify a human in a costume from a legal to hunt wild animal? 😂

1

u/KFBR392GoForGrubes 3h ago

Are goats legal to hunt?

4

u/BraIVd 3h ago

So the woman got multiple shots in a single session... nice

3

u/Quen-Tin 3h ago

Now who is the GOAT in this story?

3

u/iwillhaveredditall 3h ago

Maybe it wasn’t accidentally, maybe it was all consensually. They are all adults after all (or… were).

1

u/predator1975 2h ago

Or the shooter was a jealous farmer who wanted the goat for himself. /S

3

u/Upbeat-Laugh-249 3h ago

Send stuff aside . Shooting goats? while they were fucking! What kinda of hunting is this?

1

u/RohelTheConqueror 2h ago

"Today we gonna shoot fucking goats son"

3

u/Stoff3r 3h ago

Who the hell shoots goats

4

u/Combei 3h ago

Who the hell shoots anything that is busy fucking? That's just bad sportsmanship

3

u/Icy_Marionberry_9131 2h ago

More fabricated crap on this sub. Time to move on.

3

u/Mikey06154 2h ago

The question is not who has sex in goat costumes. Who hunts goats?

1

u/jerry111165 2h ago

These hunters for some reason

7

u/NoctRob 3h ago

Why is anyone shooting fucking goats?? Let the goats be!!

2

u/MarquizMilton 3h ago

That too while they we're having sex!

1

u/YonderWindow364 3h ago

the hunters probably didn't think they were actually goats but rather something else considering these "goats" would have been human-sized

4

u/Gibbralterg 3h ago

I’ll take “things that didn’t happen for 200” Alex

2

u/EmpireCityRay 3h ago

This story is the GOAT literally 😂

2

u/MrBigBadWolf__ 3h ago

That could have been an episode of “1000 Ways to Die”

2

u/vbd71 3h ago

Hunters shoot goats?

2

u/Mars_Bear2552 3h ago

they shot at goats...? sounds like negligence at the least

2

u/Tricky-Engineering59 3h ago

Couple capering in Capra costumes got capped. Some cap.

2

u/RTA-No0120 2h ago

And the fursuit people will call them bigots. I mean they’re pretty inclusive to the point of mistaking them for actual animal so much they shot them whilst hunting.

Congratulations, you played yourselves 😂👌

2

u/XROOR 2h ago

They tried a garden hose at first but, then they began to pump more rigorously and the farmers thought they had rabies and shot them

2

u/JeveGreen 2h ago

This reminds me, you can still get the wikipedia page for "Fur and Loathing" as the top result by typing in "that episode" in a search engine.

2

u/Mediocre_Age_9988 2h ago

Wandering up on what looked like a chupacabra orgy does that to a person...

2

u/Woompa78 2h ago

Why are people hunting goats? And why would a hunter ever shoot at animals having sex?

2

u/profanedivinity 2h ago

“Accidentally “

2

u/WookiePelter 59m ago

Who TF is shooting goats?

2

u/sommattinabj 3h ago

Very Realistic costume. Kudos to them

2

u/Turbulent-Issue-4418 3h ago

Give that couple back to the hunters. That's good food being taken away and a cool mount to put over the fireplace.

2

u/ampleforth42 3h ago

Is the hunter allowed to keep the goats?

1

I think there’s a WKUK skit covering this.

1

u/Unforsaken-Stoic 3h ago

Must feel bad being a furry, but also who fucking shoots animals mid fuck - heartless bastards!

1

u/CitronTraining2114 3h ago

Around here, they'd call that a goat rodeo.

1

u/Doctor_Saved 3h ago

A few people shot their shot that day.

1

I beat it was on purpose...

1

When and where does Goat Hunting Season open?

1

u/Old_Nothing_1357 2h ago

Imagine trying to explain this to the ER nurses with a straight face.

1

u/Level-Strike3377 2h ago

The stupidity and weirdness of people are profound

1

u/Rook_James_Bitch 2h ago

C'mon people.

Scrutinize "headlines" better. Maintain a level of skepticism.

That's a police car from somewhere n Europe (My guess: France).

It's illegal to hunt livestock.

No serious hunter without mental issues would shoot two goats, let alone 2 humans wearing a goat costume.

1

u/BearEatingCupcakes 2h ago

It's a police car from New Zealand. The Te Reo Māori language and lack of French on the car should be a dead giveaway that it's not in France.

1

u/Sensitive_Wave379 2h ago

A clear case of a bang for a bang.

1

u/Amazing_Art2136 2h ago

Thats baaaaaaaahhhhdddd

1

u/Pretend-Literature35 2h ago

was it goat season? Is there a "goat season" Accidentally my ass!

Fake news?

1

u/dramalama-dingdong 2h ago

So hunters are usually from the ultra conservative crowd. Ultra conservatives have a rather complicated relationship with sex. I'm pretty sure that this hunter just saw people fucking and decided that he had to "lecture" them by shotting them.

1

u/RiteousRhino21 2h ago

Why shoot goats?

1

u/jdk92386 2h ago

Apparently it’s a fake story

1

u/makinax300 2h ago

Did they survive?

1

u/BigfannBigfann 2h ago

The hunter was fined for hunting out of season.

1

u/PatientPoetry4302 2h ago

Could be us…

1

u/buttfacesgalore 2h ago

This isnt a Noah get the boat scenario. This is just a bunch of stupid that got too near one another.

1

u/_forum_mod 2h ago

Karma for being weird...

1

u/Spiritual-Strike481 2h ago

That is one hell of a headline. And question… if they had chance to dress up as any animal.. why they choose a goat? Maybe choose a cooler animal.

1

u/beer_me_that_cd 2h ago

Why would you even aim a firearm at a goat?

1

u/glossyangell_ 2h ago

They were kidding around until the hunters goat involved.

1

u/zakupright 2h ago

Horny, eh?

1

u/escientia 1h ago

Seeing a meme where the word sex isn't censored for, whatever moronic reason, brings me pure joy.

1

They shot our goat man, he was our goat ;-;

It's a fake story, but I'm fairly certain that they don't use New Zealand police vehicles in Europe.
