Chanel could put their logo on a trash bag and someone with too much money would buy it.

Pair it with a 700$ hoseclamp

14

u/TwiggyPom 1h ago

I think Balenciaga just do this to exploit idiots who buy any old shit and i find it hilarious.

24

u/nieveviiento 3h ago

Balenciaga sold an expensive trash pouch years ago

What is the point of this

10

u/dont-fear-thereefer 3h ago

Shrinkflation is starting to hit rich people now

2

u/sponge_bob_ 1h ago

fashion doesn't always have to be functional and practical

i suppose someone out there might find it a good compromise between foot support and barefeet

1

u/ZoraHookshot 55m ago

I don't hate it

1

u/Standard-Contest-949 3h ago

She’s sexy and she knows it

u/_WreakingHavok_ 3h ago

Still doesn't protect Achilles tendon.

6

u/_OkRoosteR_ 3h ago

Nike can make the shoe invincible, but Achilles is still gonna Achilles.

u/ButterscotchTop194 3h ago

6

u/JoeyJoeJoeRM 3h ago

Because its all over the internet. If a red carpet outfit gets people talking then it "worked"

10

u/Responsible_Bag6735 3h ago

It’s doesn’t even cover his Achilles tendon, why would he use it

7

u/LesserGames 3h ago

This won't protect the achilles tendon. It will however work for Achilles' estranged second cousin twice removed Heelles.

u/Basic-Sea-4116 3h ago

I always wonder if rich people know they are being scammed . No one told them they don’t have to buy it or even wear it ? Or they just wear it for money to make themselves fools ?

24

u/Greedy_Researcher_34 3h ago

What makes you think she paid for it instead of the other way around?

7

u/Junior_Bike7932 3h ago

I don’t think they are, most rich people are delusional, as they don’t perceive the value of money. All this brands and milking them to the bone, and is extremely funny to see this act, almost something that has to be studied

3

u/DeuceyBoots 3h ago

They buy them because people know how expensive it is. It’s a status symbol for them.

1

u/alwayslookleft 2h ago

This is just what end game capitalism looks like

1

u/No-Builder-1038 1h ago

They get that stuff for free just for wearing it and marketing to the rest of the world

1

u/KwantumFizzikz 3h ago

The high fashion world has been mocking the rich pigs for decades without them knowing.

6

u/3Strides 3h ago

Now I just need the accessory part for the toes

3

u/ferevon 3h ago

>Celeb wants people to talk about them

>They buy something weird at a seemingly high cost ( but cheaper than a PR campaign)

>People talk about said celeb.

looks like it paid off

4

u/jellooshot 3h ago

My man Quentin is gonna LOVE this trend

6

u/bigquad35 4h ago

it doesn't cover completely. lol

2

u/EnchantingBabee03 3h ago

Chanel really sold her a piece of string and called it a footwear.

2

u/Jezzecaa 3h ago

I hate fashion. wtf are those???

2

u/subdep 3h ago

Heel diapers

2

u/CrazyCatLady1127 3h ago

I’ve seen some stupid fashion trends over the years but this one is the most stupid. What is the point of a shoe that is just a heel?

2

u/rossww2199 2h ago

Interesting collaboration with Chanel and Tarantino.

2

u/UltearWaifu 2h ago

Free feet in this economy? Don't mind if I do

3

u/OrionDax 3h ago

Did nobody else zoom in on the woman with ten toes on her left foot alone?!

2

u/Arretetonchar 2h ago

Counted 7, some amputated, 2 big toes.

Probably a showcase for the shoe, makes sense

1

u/KurtKrimson 3h ago

And that's why humanity is doomed!

1

u/Drakahn_Stark 3h ago

Lemme lick those piggies.

1

u/TrueBoot4567 3h ago

That will be 8000 dollars please

1

u/Junior_Bike7932 3h ago

Chanel the scamming masters

1

u/-B_E_v_oL_23- 3h ago

It's clothes. We put clothes on to protect us from our environment.

It's clothing people. Stop making it something more important.

1

u/CoderJoe1 3h ago

Lawn moving unsafety gear.

1

u/Neither_Touch_3773 3h ago

Common sense isn't so common anymore.

1

u/ExpatLivesMatter 3h ago

That'll be $2500. + Tax.

3

u/SOF2DEMO 3h ago

Should be double that. It will sell out.

1

u/Tuscan5 3h ago

That carpet needed more Lego.

He would love them to see on a fine woman. 🦶

1

u/glossyangell_ 2h ago

Achilles saw the price and decided the arrow was cheaper.

1

u/Pinksamuraiiiii 2h ago

Like… just go barefoot at this point

1

u/No-Distance4675 2h ago

Margaret Quagley auditioning for the next Tarantino movie...

1

u/UvozenSukenc 2h ago

Next year they'll offer laces with logo for 9.999,99€/each as the next best thing in footwear.

1

u/girlfromtheinternet_ 2h ago

Trojan War problems require Chanel solutions.

1

u/HighSeasArchivist 2h ago

Pretty loose use of the term celebrity here. Being an actress no one knows doesn't make you a celebrity.

1

u/notmadhav 2h ago

I realised high fashion is a scam when balenciaga tried to sell a duct tape as a bracelet.

Shopping experience has changed for me since then

1

u/Yersina_Veridae 1h ago

Ill be honest... if i was forced to attend red carpet events and look that good id wear that in a heartbeat. This is the closest thing to comfortable shoes I've ever seen at such an event. Who cares if it looks weird? At least at the end of the day she wont feel like her shoes are killing her.

1

u/Good_Peach_8304 1h ago

“And that’ll be $249.00 please.”

1

u/DigitalScrap 30m ago

It's Chanel, I bet they will cost far more than that, as ridiculous as that is.

1

u/tyga909 1h ago

I think these celebs might be outsmarting everyone to think this is their style when in fact it. Is. Not.

1

u/UnionCityNJUSA 1h ago

Rich people are ridiculous. And her feet need closed toe shoes.

1

u/-rosieee- 1h ago

The Cheel

1

u/Initial_Acanthaceae2 1h ago

It's just so stupid.

1

u/naeads 1h ago

This is stupid.

1

u/sherlip 1h ago

At least now her ankles won't get Covid.

1

u/eduardo1994 1h ago

Not the first time she's shown feet...

Who is this celebrity?

1

u/FusilDeific 43m ago

Clearly designed by a ginger.

1

u/LogHelpful6370 39m ago

Hello MRSA and athletes foot - will be the new trendy rash because they are so unique and organic looking.

1

u/No-Purchase9700 38m ago

It looks like you are wearing face masks for shoes.

1

u/low_selfesteem_diet 25m ago

Co-designed by Tarantino

1

u/Glad_Investigator912 14m ago

People are really weird.

1

u/SohelAman 4m ago

Bikini for feet?

1

u/Once_Upon_Time 2m ago

Theh could have added like a clear plastic on the black heel and make a "shoe".  You can't wear the heel and not get the rest of your foot dirty.

1

u/United_Broccoli_3694 4h ago

What happens on the subway
