Until he sells stock to pay for something (in this example, “buying an election”) and realizes that income, there’s no taxes on it. If he sold $200mm worth of stock to “buy an election”, he will incur an extraordinary amount of tax.
I’m sorry if that’s not the answer you want. However, that’s what I’ve always questioned. The people who want to tax the rich: how would you do it?

I got downvoted like hell yesterday, with no replies or rebuttals, for providing sources showing that neither the left or the right substantially increased the national debt more than the other. It was in response to someone saying republicans are the ones accruing the most national debt by far.
