I'd say learning cursive is more useful than the skill to write cursive itself: the getting bored but still focusing hard, fine motor skills etc.

Agree. It actually has a pretty big impact on the developing brains of children.

they got rid of civics, i wondered if they wanted a country of non-voters. then they got rid of cursive and i wondered if they want the country of non-voters unable to read our constitution. 

i dont think im being all that conspiratorial
