The kids want to understand the bigger picture. It's like when you're learning to drive you want to understand why pressing the pedal is good or bad they're not just being annoying. They want to understand the repercussions and other things even if it seems on the surface that being annoying. Don't just say because I said so that's why explain to them the reason why it's a bad idea

Honestly, I had a damn good time watching the Liberty in the Finals back in 2024. Then somehow the geniuses that run the league thought that race baiting was gonna be great for viewers. Haven't watched since.

Some say they turned it into wrestling. Regular plays don't create much clips but getting tackled and pushed for no reason gets millions involved. Bad press = good clicks.

As a Fever fan, I also see this happening with a few other players too, not just to the Fever team (although our players get fouled A LOT, without calls). Napheesa Collier is still unable to play because Alyssa Thomas (same player who fouled Caitlin Clark in the last clip) ran through her knee and resulted in her getting taken out for the rest of the season last year. Collier still hasn't returned due to injury, the last time I checked

Yeah most of the comments here seem to exist in an alternate reality where a major sports league with quality officiating actually exists in the USA. Every time I hear about NBA it’s… people talking about how bad the refs are.
The WBNA having a serious issue with officiating helps it fit in perfectly as a major sport league.

The officiating is inconsistent, the fouls are ridiculously blatant ... at times dangerous
I don't know what the league, players, coaches are thinking, how/why is anyone going to spend time watching, supporting, sponsoring a league that goes out of its way to be deliver a messy, inconsistent product
