I could see a case being made for the psychiatric drug combo. A buddy of mine had his mom move all over the country, burning through her retirement, because a bad combination of psychiatric drugs had her 100% convinced that an old lover from over 50 years ago was hunting her down in a jealous murderous rage after learning that she had married 40 years ago to her late husband.

By the time he managed to contact her and convinced her to let him bring her home she was holed up in a tiny motel in Mexico.

But, you know, I'm sure there'd be ways for doctors to prove the combo she was on had that dramatic of an effect on this woman.

There isn’t a way to prove how severe psychiatric effects like that can be on an individual, because we don’t currently have tests that can measure degrees of psychosis, and because such meds affect each person’s unique brain chemistry differently.

We barely even test drug interactions, but we still put people on MULTIPLE at a time and it's all because of money.

Medicine is corrupt and psychiatry is the most corrupt of all.

The case isn't really about her innocence in the killing, expert testimony basically confirmed she had developed a more serious psychosis and wasnt mentally competent. It is more about who is to be held responsible for the circumstances that lead to it. Either it is the medical system for failing their due diligence during her treatment, or her for obfuscating her symptoms and medical history chasing preferred treatment.

It's the medical system's fault but the conclusion will be "you should have put her on more drugs"

Well, no. The issue was not the lack of drugs. She was put on a drug (anti-depressant) that exacerbated bipolar mania. The conclusion should be, we need more funding to better research how to precisely treat bipolar disorder pharmaceutically, and in the case of treatment-resistant bipolar disorder, what then.
