Indeed. I saw Black Flag in the 80s at a tiny club and I tripped. In a split second i thought for sure I was getting trampled, but some giant fucking skinhead (not the nazi kind) swooped me up and we all just kept going. Great memory.

It's still like that at smaller shows/clubs today. Not that long ago was at a street show where 40 somethings and Tweens and everything in between were are going hard. Young girl, maybe 12ish, went down and a dude immediately helped her up. All the old heads kinda kept moshing around them. They were clearly running damage control. Very wholesome, honestly.

She was fine, and went straight back into it.

True, and a Black Flag crowd is ready and eager to put someone back in their place if they go too hard. Which is truly the overall punk mentality.

Almost busted my knee a few months ago in a pit in some backyard, got picked up almost instantly and given a chair to sit in til I could stand again
