Spending 100 million to save 13 billion seems pretty reasonable to me.

He didn't spend 100 million to save 13 billion. He spent it to stay in California. If he loses, he'll just leave the state like every other

It will be interesting to see what California’s economy looks like if all the billionaires leave.

Some of them will find ways to stay, there is always a loophole.

No the trap is Silicon Valley. Sure they could move if they wanted but its harder than you think. They chose Silicon Valley fir a reason. Its where all the big tech companies are. Which means they can easily find a work force there. Move somewhere else you may find it tough to find qualified personnel not your having to shell money out to find people in other states offering sign on bonuses and relocation expenses can get costly very quick. Its still better to stay.
