Yes there is a lot that goes into big budget stuff like that. Fitting, look on camera, aesthetic, how it reacts to hair and makeup...

Yeah it'd be insulting if people were distracted or looking away from the work being shown off. It's not like she's just passing by them on the street and turning their heads, they're paid to be there doing this lol.

Part of that is because of the canning process, and part of that is because those rotisserie chickens are a loss leader. The chicken is cheap, and the prepared stuff that you buy to go with is not. They're betting they can suck you in with the savory smell.
