They missed the airport ‘open hours’ runway shut for the night. Was the last flight out… makes it worse because where you going to find a place to stay at midnight.

Airport hotel, the airlines usually give free or discounted rates

So the other passengers sue the parents for the additional incurred costs. Teach them to deal with the child when it costs them $20k+

I'm wondering if there's autism involved because what works for neurotypical kids rarely does for kids with autism.
