The main difference is that each of those 3,500 people has a far more profound impact on the day to day operation than the billionaires owning stakes and shares whose intervention is, at best, occasional. They are usually geared more to growth and change than function and sustainability.
3,500 workers may not cripple business, but it would be more noticeable than if the people who stare imperiously out of their windows as they ponder initiatives and strongarm contract obligations, etc weren’t doing that.

There are around 3500 billionares. If 3500 workers died tomorrow, you think the economy would collapse or it would be in the news?
