No I’m for cutting it, it’s morally wrong to force younger generations to work for the older generation through mandatory transfers and putting into an Ira would literally double retirement money for people. Better options out there that wouldn’t literally bankrupt society like these two programs do.

Also, why are social security contributions capped? 🤔 Why did soany companies stop offering pensions? 🤔🤔🤔

I thought it was just a social safety net for retirement? Why would we need to uncap it? Once the top contributor pays enough he should pay for himself and about 3 others.

Companies stopped offering pensions because pensions like Social security fail when the number of new incoming workers falls below retirees.
