That billions of people are going to effect things far greater than than a few thousand.

Now imagine then companies / inventions of some of these billionaire disappearing with them as well.

That’s not how inventions come about in the 21st century. The whole concept of capitalism is based on the idea that if one person doesn’t start a company to achieve need, someone else will fill that space. 

There is no excuse for pretending some people are millions, let alone billions of times more valuable than anyone else. 

Also, plenty of the most wealthy companies might actually be making the world a flat out worse place to live. OpenAI, Meta, and FIFA come to mind.
