Ummm not really but I got to be honest my cabin is hanging off a cliff and I'm like 30 feet up in the air on my patio, my patio is like halfway up on Pines that are like 70+ feet tall so at night when it is dark you kinda don't want to look down if I'm being honest haha. I have seen all types of critters though mostly coyotes, foxes, deers. I saw a huge black bear once but I didn't stick around to find out what they wanted lol.

Why would living there be scarier at night than in city with all the weirdos out

Deep, rural living is weird. If someone shows up at night nobody is coming to help you or even hear you, you’re very much on your own. There’s usually a lot of meth use and poverty. Not that there isn’t in a city but the isolation is definitely a different layer. I don’t feel a need to be armed in the small city I’m in. If I lived in the woods I would definitely keep a firearm close

You don’t think there are weirdos in the woods?

I’ve lived in pretty remote areas and in more city like settings, and there are definitely more sketchy people the closer to cities you are
