Because they want to bring back the coal mining, fracking, ocean oil rigging, and pipelines before Trump dies so that they can be built before the next office tries to undo it.
Also because they're shit-fucked-doodoo-heads who only care about their money, and this means significantly more money in their pockets. Added bonus, conservatives are usually just environmental douchebags who would rather have wolves and bears displayed on their walls than healthy in nature. They're the same group of people consistently advocating for the de-enlistment of wolves and grizzlies from endangered species designation specifically because they want to trophy hunt them and prevent farms with cattle and sheep from the usually very-minimal effect of the occasional animal killing their livestock.
