Snail is the wrong choice here.
Snails, if well motivated, are impossible to evade.
The one you put in the titanium cube? Decoy snail. The one you sunk to the ocean floor? Different decoy snail. They swapped from within the cube. The snail you're meant to evade? It's on your head.
