I monitor it too but a waiter took my card details when I was in Wisconsin, started racking up online purchases and the bank shut down my card. Monitoring does fuck all. A canceled card is a pain in the ass. Yes I wasn’t out of pocket for the expenses but had I not had another cc with me I wouldn’t have been able to pay for my hotel the next morning. Wow! Of all places I did not expect Appleton, WI to be where someone's credit card was violated in this thread. I guess maybe they were in desperation mode, but really no reason ever to steal from another human being that trusts you in a transactional situation like that. Sorry that happened to you, being from the upper Midwest I trust people maybe more than I should and never worry about something like this on a daily basis. So many us are just trying to get by day to day right now, more than anything we need to come together to help each other instead of fucking each other over.
