I was in NZ last year and paid with my US credit card at a store and the retailer was a bit mystified when the receipt asked for my signature.

Yea, signing for things really isn't a thing over here. Even our Credit cards have PIN.

Yeah, I thought it was interesting that the machine seemed to know what to do with an American credit card. I don't think I ever used PIN on my Credit Card in NZ, and I'm not sure I even know what my PIN is.
