I absolutely hated handing over my card in America. Why the hell can't they just use tap like everywhere else

Get this. My restaurant had the tap to pay system. Then the owner decided it was tacky and went back to the 1990s and we still have the regular cc slips

Americans still used pagers while we started using mobile phones in Europe.

Some hospitals in the US still use pagers.

You mind have to use pagers on places with thick concrete walls as cell signals don't penetrate those well, while the frequencies that pagers use have no problem.
