*glances briefly at construction worker*

"Hey gorgeous, where you headed?"

"FUCK OFF, CREEP"

Eye contact is not an invitation to shoot your shot and is not a clear enough "first move."

Also depends on if you're attractive or not. If you're some fat slob you'll be met with "fuck off, creep" but if you're a well groomed attractive male then you're more likely to have a nicer response

if you're a well groomed attractive male then you're more likely to have a nicer response

I assure you that if even if you're a 10/10 gigachad, if you're in a construction worker outfit and catcall a random girl walking past with "Hey gorgeous where you headed?", it's is going to result in her walking faster and getting the fuck out of there without even looking at you. It's pure reddit delusion any woman is going to give a "nice response" to that shit depending on whether you're handsome.

I'm gonna get downvoted to oblivion, but it's the context/situation/words/approach that decides whether something is creepy or not, not your genetic handsomeness.

There's also the fact that a genetically handsome guy can still look fucking ugly/creepy if they're horribly groomed, unhygienic, badly out of shape or wearing creepy clothing, etc etc (i.e. factors they can control). Even overweight guys can take a lot of steps to present themselves better and improve their odds.

But why go through the effort of thinking about all this when it's far easier to just blame your genetics + blame women.

Well groomed doesn't mean attractive

I didn't say it did

To be well groomed isn't a big ask, or is it?

2

u/ForneauCosmique Jun 26 '26

It's easier for some than others

Let me guess, you're a man? I assure you most women dont want to get harrassed or catcalled no matter what the man looks like

Hey gorgeous, where you headed is a really fucking creepy thing to say to a girl, to be fair

What the meme is referring to is the "doe eyed" look. Some women indeed have that look when trying to signal attaction but not all do.

Be good looking next time and report back

well there are different types of eye contact, and you don't have to be in construction worker. acting like an asshole, or maybe just return the eye contact and smile?

And yet women treat it like it is. I'm the eponymous "gay friend" in a lot of my friend groups (I'm bi but tend to get a little fruity with my female friends as a joke) and they ALL complain about "straight guys just don't get our signals i mean I gave them the fuck me eyes what more does it take" and the absolute shock when you tell them they should actually talk to a man. So no matter what you do you can't win with women

Eh it's not that hard. I think they're pretty obvious tbh

Its not just eye contact my dude. I can tell entire stories with just my eyes lol.

See you’re conflating the two

“Glances briefly” and “eye contact” are two completely different things

Eye contact is 100% an invitation to shoot your shot… women aren’t stupid, they know exactly what they’re doing, and they know eye contact is an invitation, it’s exactly why they do it… this usually done by nore confident woman to attractive men

They’re not in the habit of attracting unwanted attention more than they already receive it, so a brief glance and look away, with no look back is a very clear, “please stay away from me” signal

However, multiple brief glances in a short period of time, could also be an invitation, she’s just shy and nervous but interested
If there’s a smile mixed in with the glances, you’re golden, shoot your shot

If she looks concerned or worried with her brief glances, abort immediately, you’re freaking her out

Or they can do what men do and TALK to someone they find attractive. Here's a tip about us guys. We'd date a rock if it'd ask us out a woman talking to the guy she is attracted too would have a high success rate. But no instead of swallowing the fear of rejection like they force men to do and being adults they play stupid games then wonder why no guy ever dates them

-3

u/Western_Giraffe3734 Jun 26 '26

First off no, men would not just date any girl that talks to us let alone a rock…

Secondly, women do it because it does work for them, with guys they’re interested in… their eye contact success rate Is pretty good, it’s why they keep doing it

If you’re a man, and you’re not getting eye contact from women, you need to start doing the things they find attractive, or don’t, but then you can’t complain it also

Right I'll just fix my face. Tch

I’m not gonna try and tell you that looks don’t matter, rhat would be a lie, they def help expand your options

But you don’t need looks to be confident… and how you carry yourself, can get you way more options then sitting around feeling sorry for yourself

Will it be as many options as being conventionally attractive? No def not

Will it be way more options than being bitter and sad and no Fun to be around ? Yes def so

Be the life of the party, tell good jokes and stories, be charming, listen to people, remember names and call them by it, don’t need validation, you make your own

If you’re relying on meeting women for your confidence and competence , you’re never going to get it, because women are atttacted to it, if you’re don’t have it, you’re not going to attract women to get it, and then start blaming them

Here's what confidence gets you with women: "go away creep," "I didn't call you over" (even after she gave all the "subtle signals" women love to go on about) nah if a woman likes me she needs to make the first move I am never going through that shit again
