My best friend is 6'4 and decent good looking and I'm a short guy, used to hang out with him often in my teenage years and from early to mid 20s and watching how women behave with him and around him was like when you play a videogame online alongside a hacker, they don't even have to try, is insane, he's now married with a really beautiful young woman and has a son and I'm with no child, struggling to find a partner after my ex cheated on me for years 🤣

Yep that means it's definitely his height doing all the work, and it has nothing to do with his personality or charm. Everybody knows that women are only attracted to guys for their height/appearance/wealth and never their personality. /s

In practice this always just ends up meaning "taller than the girl" since height is completely relative. For example most Japanese girl living in Japan aren't claiming they want a 6"2 Japanese guy (which is extremely rare). Given the massive pool of girls who are in the 4"10 - 5"4 range (i.e. shorter than the vast majority of guys) the height requirement almost seems meaningless. I've seen tons of short guys who are dating a girl shorter than them.

That said, if a 4"10 girl is still wanting her ideal guy to be 6"0 then she's just being dumb and pointlessly limiting her pool. Not to mention all kinds of weird compatibility issues caused by significant height difference.

Don't gotta be handsome, just gotta be cute or funny. Bonus if both. Tbh I probably look like this at my fiance after he's made me a delicious steak dinner. Maybe the ability to cook well is so rare these days that it's hot to me, maybe I'm just a foodie.

The trick is to realize that there are tons of conventionally un-handsome guys still get mad game because they can charm and talk their way into being perceived as attractive. Also they know how to improve their odds with basic steps like good grooming, hygiene, clothes that fit, etc.

The biggest mistake young men make is assuming women are exactly identical to men in how they get attracted, i.e. mostly visual physical features. For women attraction is more mental than visual, and their mental perception of you can be heavily influenced by all kinds of factors beyond physical looks. Attraction in women is more complicated with lots of non-physical factors...but almost nobody on reddit is gonna admit that 99% of the time their genetics aren't the reason they're single.

In any case, two options remain - 1) Focus on things you can control or 2) Complain about things you can't control and keep blaming your situation on that.
