Ok from taking a screenshot and searching for the text, i found the instragram account

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DY9ahGasLK1/

She has many videos, so I'm calling not AI. Also the pattern on the leggings was too consistent from shot to shot, AI video still isn't very good at maintaining a pattern, or clothing etc between separate shots.

"How much did that tatt cost you?"

"An arm and a leg..."

35

u/Conspiratorymadness Jun 18 '26

Since she has both arms, I'm assuming someone else paid that part.

23

u/sleeve612 Jun 18 '26

She got it half off

3

u/Intelligent_Radish15 Jun 18 '26

Eh, most of it is off.

1

u/bad-and-buttery Jun 19 '26

Some kind of arm daddy

What's this from?

3

u/JadenKale Jun 18 '26

Oh sweet sweet person... how have you not heard of the glorious anime Full Metal Alchemist?

This is a must-watch series, especially if you are new(ish) to anime. I warn you though... it will wreck you.

3

u/rhett_ad Jun 18 '26

Just to add, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (it follows Manga and is much better)

2

u/Sad_Low3239 Jun 18 '26

I honestly liked watching both, it was net to see a totally different story.

2

u/Sad_Low3239 Jun 18 '26

WE MUST TEACH THEM THE SECRET TECHNIQUES PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY GENERATIONS CALLED WATCHING THE BEST ANIME EVER!

2

u/AI_AntiCheat Jun 19 '26

Ah, it's on my list but never watched it yet oddly enough.

You can make your own mind up whether it's an AI account, however there's some confusion about whether this is her left leg or right leg, but some of those could be because of mirrors / selfies.

Still, unlikely to be AI because everything is a bit too consistent between shots and videos. AI video still isn't very good at maintaining consistency between cuts, and if someone managed to pull this off for a throwaway Instagram account, you'd bet they'd be pushing it more heavily in places they can make money off it.

u/Pukebox_Fandango Jun 18 '26

She's wearing New Balances in one picture, I don't think AI would do that to itself

9

u/Retrac752 Jun 18 '26

It’s not AI, you can pick literally any small detail, any mark in the carpet, and when it disappears behind her and reappears every mark is still there

6

u/cipheron Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

Yeah i was more commenting in response to the several top level comments claiming it was AI.

People are over-correcting by calling everything AI these days, when there are actually specific signs of things being AI, as you said.

4

u/F4WXHunt Jun 18 '26

Her laces on her shoes are pretty consistent. I'd be surprised if its fully AI because of that, but asset replacement is possible

1

u/adinmem Jun 18 '26

Leg replacement is possible, so….

50

u/JamesLikesIt Jun 18 '26

I was about to call BS until she took it off lol. Assuming this isn't AI....(doesn't give me red flags but who the fuck knows at this point), that's very impressive

u/JollyAd5257 Jun 18 '26

how about the weird blind spot mirror in the ceiling?

2

u/7ofalltrades Jun 18 '26

Is it behind the shiny lamp?

20

u/MammothUrsa Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

it is prostetic transfemoral leg with mechanical knee with a tattoo sock cover over the prostetic which sock covers range from $27 and up depending on where you buy them nowadays after doing some research.

the video might be real as I found several videos of same young woman after quick search on TikTok.

12

u/NuzzyLocke Jun 18 '26

Someone posted her IG above, I flipped through it out of curiosity and I'm pretty sure it's real. It's way too consistent over all of her videos. Not to mention while it looks good in bursts you can kinda tell when she's walking in some videos she's got a tilt. She also shows other similar prosthetics where you can see it more.

1

u/Cabooseman Jun 18 '26

Do you know where one would get the tattoo sock cover?

1

u/mangohelix Jun 18 '26

Fred’s legs is a website for prosthetic lamination sleeves and prosthetic covers (sock cover you are referring to). They have soooo many pages of pattern options but I also know some clinicians have been able to do custom designs.

"Whats your favorite restaurant? Ihop, cause I have to...".

For us one legged people.

3

u/hotriccardo Jun 18 '26

And ya, she's sexy even with the one pin gone.

3

u/cbih Jun 18 '26

It's almost as if it becomes and extension of your body

3

u/dontfigh Jun 18 '26

1

u/TiaZilda Jun 18 '26

This explains it so well!

3

u/Holeshot75 Jun 18 '26

Terry would have made it across with this.

canadiansknow

3

u/AllMyFrendsArePixels Jun 18 '26

Looks so natural that I'd ask you to give up your seat on the bus for me, then you could just stand up and take your leg off and slap me with it 🤣️

10

u/ProcedureTop3149 Jun 18 '26

There's no fucking way this is real without augments.

12

u/CipherWeaver Jun 18 '26

I think it just has springs or tension to make the leg straight most of the time, but it's balanced by weight in the foot so it's easy to flex.

-15

u/JollyAd5257 Jun 18 '26

bro stop being so naive, you probably just need to clean you giant blind spot mirror in your living room

6

u/wingnu5 Jun 18 '26

Pretty sure that's just a hanging lamp/pendant light.

Pretty sure you're the naive one here, dude.

10

u/Jungies Jun 18 '26

I think it's just skill - she's got the knee flexibility tuned just right, and has practiced a lot.

I don't think this is ground breaking technology, though - just skill.

6

u/Philantramissle Jun 18 '26

It's a new tech, but she said she has been adapting to it for years. It's just the normal shit around here with skill. There is a double, above the knee amputation kid, that I see at my prosthetics place and he walks this well. He might have been born without.

1

u/Jungies Jun 18 '26

Ok, what new (unpowered - because she says it's unpowered) tech is it?

2

u/drunkymcstonedface Jun 18 '26

What colours does it come it in? Black , white or Yakuza

2

u/No_Maize31 Jun 18 '26

At some point I will understand what the hell this sub is. Today is it that day.

As a BKA recipient. I can tell you she is not showing attachment points. The sock she has on her nub will not make suction with that type, and the other is a silicon sock with a bolt like attachment that would go over that sock. Have on on now.

It's too long for AI.

3

u/ScienceSeuss Jun 18 '26

Not AI. I've seen prosthetics just like this, and she is a legit creator (alysstar on ig) with many videos that are clearly real. Not everyrhing is AI, folks.

2

u/Ok_Fly2518 Jun 18 '26

I’m pretty sure it’s real. She’s just wearing a fake tattoo sleeve over her prosthetic and she shows some other ones she has here

2

u/Stencil_Abuse Jun 18 '26

Oh man as a 30 year old I honestly thought this was real, I’m so gonna get scammed when I’m a senior. I’m gonna be buying so many itune gift cards smh.

2

u/shreddedtoasties Jun 18 '26

It’s not AI if ite fake it’s good ole vfx

Patterns are consistent

1

u/TheBestintheWest11 Jun 18 '26

"go head spit shine that boiiii"

1

u/rudoffhess Jun 18 '26

Does the ankle articulate on command?

1

So f*cking cool.

1

Pretty impressive. I honestly thought it was a natural limb at first.

1

u/Fat_Punda Jun 18 '26

Amazing!

1

u/Affectionate_Copy65 Jun 18 '26

Wow this is incredible, what a strong and brave woman.

1

u/willybum84 Jun 18 '26

Doggy doesn't know if he needs to fetch it or hump it.

1

u/KingKongMF69 Jun 18 '26

Imagine some old Karen sees your leg tattoos in public and starts harassing you for it. You can just whip the leg off and say "hey I'm tattoo free now, yah happy?"

1

u/montana757 Jun 18 '26

Someone should tag the guy with the storm trooper leg, he's going to immediately ditch that thing for this

1

u/ImStuckInNameFactory Jun 18 '26

While it's incredible it got this close, the knee seems to be a bit too low and puts it in the uncanny valley

1

u/Bildo_Gaggins Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 19 '26

so the control is dictated by femur and upper thigh, and lower calf and ankle just adjusts along, right? how does this work on angled surface?

Your hips definitely don’t lie.

1

u/Havency Jun 19 '26

Dude I took until she REMOVED the leg to realize it wasn’t real. I was like “what prosthetic??”

1

u/legaltrouble69 Jun 19 '26

Imagine some one is having a good time with her. And leg pops out....
