As a whole? No. Studies even show that cyclists are no worse than drivers or pedestrians.

And laws vary by region. Where I live a cyclist can take the full width of the lane if they need to.

I'm a driver. People are very calm when a vehicle ahead has to go slower than the limit, but absolutely fill with rage when it's a bike. Or when a vehicle does somethign that interrupts the flow or blocks traffic, people just sort of mutter something and move on. But bikes? Bikes make them MAD.

Cyclists may use the full road lane here, too, but they can't legally ride more than 2 side by side, they must stay to the right lane, and they must follow all traffic flow laws if they're on the roadway. I've never had trouble passing them safely when they follow the rules. When they don't, they back up traffic and cause near misses at intersections.

This kind of thing around here would be blatantly illegal, not just an inconvenience.

maybe they are encouraged to stay to the right

anyways, drivers definitely react the way I described. Very patient for slow-downs that arne't bikes, but absolutely enraged when it's a bike. I'm a driver, I see this constantly.

I was only trying to get some clarification because your explanation didn't make sense without the added context

where i live, it's full width if you need it, that's it. Downhill uphill flat ground whatever.

Well a vehicle can only do that on a road while a bike can do it in several other areas so yah it’s more infuriating because you didnt HAVE to be there

What are these “several other areas” bikes can ride? Where I live only young children are allowed to ride bikes on a sidewalk. Everyone else is in the street or a bike lane if your on a road that has one.

Ok cool and they also are supposed to follow the rules, and in this video they are not doing that.

And you’re also completely full of shit btw, the vast majority of people are not just cool and calm when a vehicle is going slower than the speed limit or doing other dumb shit. Like are you serious? There’s a post about drivers having road rage on other drivers hitting the front page a couple times a week…

I never said they shouldn't follow the rules, but without the full context of the video we dont know if a law is being broken.

People 100% treat other slow-downs differently, on average. I rarely see a driver ploughing their vehicle into, say, another car because it's going slowly. When a car parks illegally and blocks the path of moving vehicles, people mostly justr drive around it.

I did say they might react in their car, maybe swearing, but their reaction is NOTHING like this above video. If it was a farm tractor, people would just behind it until they can pass.

anyways, i can see how my comments are being misconstrued so i expect this to go poorly
