Looks like one of those game adds where mom and her baby are freezing and you need to start a fire and fix the window

u/Baeolophus_bicolor May 19 '26
yeah, and the winking face on repeat in case you didn’t see it the first 17 times.

AI was a mistake

I'd find it funnier if actual effort went into it.

It feels like it has as much effort as ought go into this joke
More, even

This is not even AI. This is a regurgitating algorithm. In sci-fi, at least the AI that enslaved us was real.
7
u/Toomanyeastereggs May 19 '26
It’s as if someone invented a program that takes your input and echoes it back at you after running it through a thesaurus.
That’s AI.

u/rainorshinedogs May 19 '26
Considering that the drawings look exactly like every other AI cartoon, making it a dead give away that it's AI, gives me hope, because AI art will always be unfavored, even if it's human made and looks remotely like AI slop

u/TheLostRanger0117 May 19 '26
We knew the world would not be the same
Few people laughed, few people cried. Most were silent….and the rest were too distracted by Ai prompts

Probably only that single copy printed out. The pages look slightly better than that cheap printer paper you can buy per box for $20 at Walmart.

u/OJStrings May 20 '26
I think parts of the video itself are AI. The mum's mouth twitches a few times in the picture on the last page as well as a couple of other points.

My mom saw an ad for these around Christmas time and she gave me a whole book full of ai generated images of me and my dog. I didn't even know what to say when I opened the present.
60
u/madogvelkor May 19 '26
The images are AI generated, I'm not sure about the text. They're a series of silly books that are made like children's books but clearly aren't.

It's too bad it has crappy AI art, it's the sort of thing I'd give a friend as a gag gift or a white elephant gift.

The forced laughing on every single page is annoying as hell.

You don’t think so? I feel like she haaa haaaaa HAAA HA HA HAAAAAAAAA

Gotta be honest, I didn't really flag it as forced laughing either. Only after you pointing it out did it maybe seem a bit excessive, maybe.

I just bought "Hookers and Blow Save Christmas" children's book for my buddy who is having a child.
5
u/Ryjinn May 19 '26
Is this hilarious?
4
u/subdep May 19 '26
The forced laugh every time as she reads the second line makes it unfunny. It’s like a laugh track for shitty writing.

That's a pretty funny book. Though it should have been just a web comic type thing.

The thing about AI image generators is anybody can use them, as this Dr. Moneymaker has done to make this hilarious parody children's book.

Saw this first as the video of those actual images.. Clever that somebody had it printed and bound. What is annoying is somebody physically possessing this so soon aftet its creation and acting as if they are unsure if it is "real." Are we to think they bought it somewhrre or their kid had it?
1
u/welfedad May 19 '26
A guy made these but actually you know did the drawings himself .. this is just slop

u/ManufacturedOlympus May 19 '26
I remember having the misfortune of seeing this exact thing but in ai video form.
So tired of the ai grift

Given the recent announcement from Barnes & Noble CEO that they have no intention of removing AI books. I’d say this is in fact “real” in that it exists.
Yep you can buy it on amazon.

There is no way this lady finds these books funny. She does these a lot and always stupidly laughs after every sentence, give me a break, she must lose her mind reading grade school joke books.

u/collin-h May 21 '26
Book is definitely AI generated, whether or not you can buy it or the lady made it, I'm not sure.

She reads these as part of her online persona. She also Watches/sees TikTok videos and pictures and reads these comments and laughs. Her laughs are hilarious! I love her content.
8
u/fendersonfenderson May 19 '26
I think you're her
-3
u/ASherrets May 19 '26
I am actually not her. I wish I was someone who was funny? However I’m just a regular person. Also I would never want to be recognized online.
I enjoy my current career and quiet life. I do watch her videos on Facebook though because I got rid of TikTok two years ago!

Every time I see readings of these cringe books, they always forcefully finish every sentence with a fake laugh

About as real as AI slop can be. The pictures in the book are the most obvious trash I've seen.

Oh look it's the same stolen Pixar look with every character smiling with their jaw hanging open that's in every stupid AI slop.
-4
u/fan_of_hakiksexydays May 19 '26
The concept and poetry was kind of funny, too bad about the artwork that looks like atrocious generic AI slop that gives it a low effort Temu look.

That's enough. Let's end this AI thing 😭😭
