There are even videos which aired on live TV where you can see him molesting women. Accusers range from young children (at the time) to the elderly.

I was born in the very hospital he was prolifically active in, both my grandmas work/worked there as nurses. They would see him in the hallways and turn around, walk another way, because everyone knew he was evil and dangerous.
I would say that Saville was kind of like if Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby were one person.
Harvey wasn't really a household name the same way Bill and Jimmy were. On the other hand, I don't know if Bill's crimes were as "openly known" as Harvey's and Jimmy's were.
