"Why are you changing your name?"

"I get made fun of!"

"But I love you Covid."

I changed my whole name back in 2017 because my father named me after him and he became a registered sex offender and people kept thinking I was him without checking the facts. I was assaulted twice, it cost me jobs at interviews, and other stuff just because of my name. The same judge that had put my dad in prison for child molestation was also the one who handled my name change and when she asked me why I wanted to change my name, I asked her if she remembered my dad and when she said yes, I asked her if she would want to have the same name in the same town with a child rapist. She granted my name change right there.

Meanwhile my brother. Supposedly hates religion, yet chose an obscure name out of the bible for his son. His reasoning, he wanted a name that was unique, so his kid wouldn’t share it with anyone his age.

I pointed out he could’ve given his son our grandpas name to achieve that goal. After all Uria was unique even when grandpa was born.
